VIDEO1.Approval of report and recommendation regarding civil action against Clay County (Branch Banking and Trust Company v. Michael Miller, et al., Clay County Circuit Court Case No. 2016-CA-719

The County has been joined as a party defendant to foreclose the lien of a mortgage on the property held by the County that secures a note executed by Michael Thomas Miller, the defendant in the foreclosure proceeding, in favor of the County in the amount of $8,000.00 (the SHIP Mortgage).  See attached memorandum.

VIDEO2.Acknowledgment of Foreclosure of Code Enforcement Lien, Code Enforcement Case CE-14-062, 4152 Becky Street

The attached instrument acknowledges that a code enforcement lien was foreclosed on.  The lien was against the subject property but not against any other real or personal property owned by the violator.  The violator, Stephen M. Lojoie, owns no other property in Clay County.

The Finance Department business is submitted to request approval and ratification by the Board for various warrants and disbursements in order to meet the requirements of Ch. 136.06 (1), Fl Statute. Acceptance and disposal of various Board property and various documents are submitted for the Board's information. At times, approval is requested for various finance related issues.

VIDEO5.Acceptance of Final Plat for Tract F Spencer Plantation Unit Two Replat
The Spencer Plantation Homeowners Association is requesting that the Board accept, for recording, the final plat of Tract F Spencer Plantation Unit Two Replat. The tract was originally dedicated as parking. The homeowners association has voted to change the parking lot into a playground for the local children. Florida Stature 177.091(23) states that all park and recreational parcels as applicable shall be stated on the plat. Statue 177.091(25) states that the purpose of all areas dedicated must be clearly indicated or stated on the plat. In order to meet those requirements, the tract has to be replated.

VIDEO7.Termination of current contract and re-award of Right Of Way and Stormwater Pond Mowing Services

Request approval of the following:

 

1.  Approval to terminate Contract #15/16-97 with Yellowstone Landscape - Southeast, LLC for Bid #15/16-18, Right-Of-Way and Stormwater Pond Mowing as indicated in attached letter.

 

2.  Approval to award Bid #15/16-18 and approval of Contract with the next lowest bidder, J & D Maintenance and Services of North Florida, LLC for two years at the unit prices per acre provided associated with Right-of-Way and Stormwater Pond mowing services..  Approval will be effective after 72 hour bid protest period has expired.

 

Funding Source: 101-3701-546100 (Transportation Trust Fund/Public Works/Repairs and Maintenance)
