10.Discussion of Appointment to the North Florida TPO Citizens Advisory Committee

The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) has a County At-Large vacancy that has been unfilled since 2015.  The Seat was previously filled by Michael Kloehn.  The County received an application  from Sandra Brooks for consideration of appointment as an At-Large member of the CAC.  The notice has been advertised on the County Web Site since January 4, 2018.

12.Approval of Alcoholic Beverage Permit Application

On 29 January 2018 a permitting committee consisting of the County Manager and representatives of the Parks Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Public Safety Department met with Audie Gibson representing the Northeast Florida Scottish Games Festival to review the application for an Alcoholic Beverage Permit to allow the sale and consumption of beer and wine at the Scottish Games to be held at the Clay County Fairgrounds on 24 February 2018.  Mr. Gibson has met the conditions for issuance and is awaiting the Boards consideration.

17.Request from the Clay County Historic Preservation Board for Removal of Members

The County received a Resolution from the Clay County Historic Preservation Board (CCHPB), requesting the removal of Victor Berrios (District 4 Member) and Reverend William Randall (At-Large District 1 Member) from the Board.  The CCHPB has been unable to complete its business because of the lack of a voting quorum and are wanting to seek replacements that can be appointed for their seats.

According to the CCHPB, Reverend Randall attended their October 10, 2017 meeting to announce his retirement from the Board, but has since failed to write a letter to the BCC of his intent and Mr. Berrios has not been in attendance for well over three consecutive meetings of the Board.

18.Acceptance of Resignation from the Clay County Library Board of Trustees - Sandy Coffey

Staff received a resignation letter from Sandy Coffey, At-Large Member of the Clay County Library Board of Trustees, effective June 1, 2018.  Ms. Coffey has served as an At-Large Member since December 1, 2014. 

19.Acceptance of Resignation from the Fleming Island Advisory Committee - Robert Machala
Staff received a letter of resignation from Robert Machala from the Fleming Advisory Committee.  Mr. Machala served on the Committee since August 9, 2016 and was recently appointed to serve on the Planning Commission.
