The Finance Department business is submitted to request approval and ratification by the Board for various warrants and disbursements in order to meet the requirements of Ch. 136.06 (1), Fl Statute. Acceptance and disposal of various Board property and various documents are submitted for the Board's information. At times, approval is requested for various finance related issues.

7.Final Public Hearing to consider adoption of Large Scale Amendment CPA 2018-02 CR 315B Residential (Planning Commission voted 7-1 to recommend approval)

Consider adoption of a large scale land use amendment  from Rural Residential to Rural Fringe, on 26.45 acres located on CR 315B.   Planning Commission voted 7 to 1 on May 1, 2018 to approve CPA 2018-02.  This item was continued from the May 22 BCC meeting to June 26, at which time it was transmitted to DEO on 5-0 vote.  The subject parcel is located in the Green Cove Springs Planning District and Commission District 5, Mr. Hendry. 

8.First Public Hearing to Consider transmittal of CPA 2018-09 (Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval)

Public Hearing to consider transmittal of CPA 2018-09 FPL to amend 2040 Future Land Use Map from Industrial to Agriculture on 175 acres and from Rural Residential to Agriculture on 165 acres on Tax Parcel 03-07-26-015793-026-00.  The Planning Commission voted 7-0 on August 7, 2018 to approve.  The subject parcel is located in Commissioner Cella's district.

9.Recommendation of Standing Committee for Approval of Renewal of Century Ambulance Service's Application for Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for Ambulance Service

The Clay County Department of Public Safety received a renewal application from Century Ambulance Service, Inc., for a Class B, C and D Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN). The renewal application was presented to the designated Standing Committee whereupon the committee made a recommendation for approval to the Board. (L. Mock)

13.Discussion of Appointments to the Tourist Development Council

Connie Thomas' term as a Town of Orange Park Municipal member to the Tourist Development Council (TDC) expires on July 26, 2018.  Ms. Thomas was reappointed by the Town of Orange Park at their February 6, 2018 meeting to serve another term on the TDC and has submitted an application for Board consideration of reappointment as a member of the TDC.

 

Patricia Sickles' term as a Hotelier member to the Tourist Development Council (TDC) expires on July 26, 2018.  Ms. Sickles submitted an application for Board reappointment as a member of the TDC.
