Approval of the following items pertaining to the FY 2018 State Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program application submission by the Clay County Sheriff's Office (CCSO):

  • 51% letter from the Chairman of the Board stating how the grant funds will be used
  • Grant application signature page(s)
  • Certification of Compliance document (to be signed by the Chief Legal Officer for the County)

All signed documents are to be submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) by July 31, 2019. (E. Gann)

Approval to post notice of intent and award Bid #18/19-26, Roadway Striping and Marking, to Roadscape North Florida, Inc. for a term of two years at the unit price rates. This annual bid is utilized as needed. Approval will be effective after 72 hour bid protest period has expired assuming no protest are received. Bid submittals are available in the Purchasing Division for review. Funding Source: 101-3711-546100 (Transportation Trust Fund / Traffic Operations / Repairs and Maintenance) (D. Approval to post notice of intent and award Bid #18/19-27, Waste Tire Management Services, to Global Tire Recycling for Option #1 (County transports tires to Contractor's facility). Transportation costs were obtained and added to Option #1 prices to determine the best overall price. The bid allowed for selection of the best option. With this consideration, awarding to Global Tire Recycling is in the best interest of the County. Approval will be effective after 72 hour bid protest period has expired assuming no protest are received. Bid submittals are available in the Purchasing Division for review.
