BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

On March 23, 2017 Engineering and Public Works presented the cost of replacing the existing box culvert with either a bridge or a box culvert.  The County Commission preferred the box culvert replacement with a completed detour of traffic on Sandridge Road for 35 days.  The complete detouring of traffic during a portion of construction will save the County $721,900 in construction costs.  The cost difference is generated by the construction of temporary by pass roadways.
