As requested by the Finance & Audit Committee, five minute presentations will be provided in alphabetical order by the top three ranked firms for RFQ #16/17-35, Continuing General Engineering Consulting Services for Construction Engineering Inspection. The RFQ will be awarded to a primary and secondary consultant for these services for a two year term.

1.  Eisman & Russo Consulting Engineers = 104.66

2.  England Thims & Miller, Inc. = 100.33

3.  VIA Consulting Services, Inc. = 97.66

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Approval to accept staff's ranking of RFQ #16/17-35, Continuing General Engineering Consulting Services for Construction Engineering Inspection and direct staff to proceed with contract negotiations with the number one ranked firm, Eisman & Russo Consulting Engineers as the primary consultant for these services and the number two ranked firm, England Thims & Miller, Inc. as secondary for a two year term.

1.  Eisman & Russo Consulting Engineers = 104.66

2.  England Thims & Miller, Inc. = 100.33

3.  VIA Consulting Services, Inc. = 97.66

4.  A & E Engineering = 94.66

5.  Causseaux, Hewitt & Walpole, Inc. = 85

6.  WSP USA, Inc. = 79.33

7.  Construction & Engineering Services = 78.33

8.  Gannett Fleming, Inc. = 74

A committee consisting of the Engineering/Public Works Director, Engineering Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager has performed the evaluation and ranking.  If desired, the Board may request presentations by no fewer than the top three firms. 

 

This RFQ provides construction engineering inspection (GEC) services for a variety of public works projects involving construction engineering and inspection of transportation and drainage facilities and services.  These required services vary and include, but are not limited to construction engineering & inspection (CEI), support to the County, including construction inspectors, construction plan reviews during project design by other consultants, project budget and schedule management and reporting and related services.
