BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Section 381.986, F.S., was amended by the Legislature in 2017 to address medical marijuana treatment center dispensing facilities.  The amendments provide that a county may either ban medical marijuana treatment center dispensing facilities, or may locate them in areas of the county where pharmacies are allowed.
