On August, 7^th 2017, the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) held a workshop discussing the Clay County Library system. Staff reviewed specific items at the BCCs request including extending hours of operation, increased use of volunteers, and a long term maintenance plan.  On September 12^th, 2017, a plan to add a volunteer coordinator and increase hours at Fleming Island was proposed.  At that time the board felt that an overall plan for the library should be developed.  Staff has taken the past two and half months to create this strategic plan to guide the library operations over the next three years and a long term budget and maintenance plan.
