Approval of the TDC recommendation of budget allocation for additional staff in the Tourism & Film Development Department.  The Tourism Marketing Assistant/Specialist will assist with tourism related reports, procurement/finance routing, database management (local businesses and tourism related media), event calendar content and content development for social media.  The budget in the maximum amount of $72,000.00 for this position will come out of Product Development. Staffing was listed as the top strategic priority in the Tourism Strategic Plan:  Adequately staff the Tourism Office to effectively and efficiently accomplish its present program of work as well as to meet the increased demands of the office as Clay County's tourism program grows.  The TDC recommends moving forward with this action as presented.
