Approval will be effective after 72 hour bid protest period has expired. Funding Source: 305-6063-563000 (Capital Improvement Proj. / F. I. Baseball Park / Infrastructure)

| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND INFORMATION: | The lowest bidder for the base bid alone was Bourre Construction Group, however their schedule of values and clarification did not confirm a true understanding of the project, did not justify bid pricing, and further did not clarify that items blank on the bid were indeed covered in bid proposal. Besch and Smith Civil Group's cost for the project when including the alternate bid items is the best value overall.
The project (base bid) consist of drainage improvements, two baseball fields, a bathroom / concession building and ADA parking. Alternate bid item #1 is a Little League field. Alternate bid item #2 is an additional parking lot. |
