SUBJECT: At its May 28, 2019 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners voted to raise impact fees and repeal transportation concurrency.  Changes to the Objectives and Policies of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan are necessary in order to repeal concurrency.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Subsection 163.3180(1), Florida Statutes, no longer requires transportation to be subject to statewide concurrency requirements.  Paragraph 163.3180(5)(i), Florida Statutes, states that if a local government elects to repeal transportation concurrency, it is encouraged to adopt an alternative mobility funding system.
