Approval of the First Amendment to Cooperative Agreement No. 2016/2017-141AM1 with St. Johns River Water Management District regarding Black Creek Water Resource Development Project. This Amendment extends the term of the Agreement for a period of three years (10/5/2025) and adds Exhibit B which contains the location of the Recreation Amenity (kayak launch) to be constructed by the District prior to the termination of the Agreement. 

Clay County and the St. Johns River Water Management District entered into a Cooperative Agreement for the purpose of outlining each party’s participation in the Black Creek Water Resource Development Project. This Project a key component in meeting the region's future water needs while protecting the natural resources of Florida. 

The original Agreement is set to expire October 5th, 2022. This amendment will extend the Agreement through October 5, 2025 and adds an Exhibit B to specify the location of the recreational amenity (Kayak Launch).  This Project is funded by St. Johns River Water Management District through Legislative Appropriation 1603A (2017) in the amount of $13.3 million.
