SUBJECT:

Approval of the following budget resolutions establishing FY22/23 grant budgets for grant awards: 

 

(1) Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Grant in the amount of $5,875 to be used to create a dedicated space for teens and tweens at the Middleburg-Clay Hill Public Library.

(2) Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) in the amount of $14,112 to provide MiFi service for 40 hotspot devices within the Library System. 

(3) Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant in the amount of $4,057,906.50 provides funding directly to fire departments and volunteer firefighter interest organizations to assist in increasing the number of firefighters to help communities meet industry minimum standards and attain 24-hour staffing to provide adequate protection from fire and fire-related hazards, and to fulfill traditional missions of fire departments.
