Approval to post Notice of Intent to Award Bid No. 22/23-12, Clay County Jail 3rd Floor Renovation to Sauer Construction, LLC in the amount of $3,914,074.00. Approval will be effective after the 72 hour protest period has expired.

Request for Bid was issued requesting bids from licensed General Contractors for the 2nd and 3rd Floor Renovation at the Clay County Jail per the plans and specifications associated with the Request for Bid. All work is to be completed within 365 days from Notice to Proceed. Staff along with the Design Firm has reviewed the two bids including their schedule of values and have no concerns with the discrepancy in the two bids.  Low bid is within budget and in line with the Architect/Engineer estimate.  Staff received good feedback during reference check.
