In 2019, JTA became the Community Transportation Coordinator for Clay County and launched the Clay Community Transportation (CCT) flex route service. JTA CCT service currently consists of four bus routes throughout Clay County (Red Line, Blue Line, Magenta Line, and Green Line). In April 2023, the Transportation Disadvantaged Program was combined with the Aging True Adult Day Care Program wherein, in addition to the Transportation Disadvantaged Services, JTA also agreed to provide transportation to and from Adult Day Care facilities and/or Clay County senior centers for Adult Day Care clients and others that may qualify for the services.
This two-year agreement includes funding for the following:
1) Transportation Services for the four bus lines,
2) Transportation Disadvantaged Program including the Aging True Adult Day Care Program,
3) Express Select commuter bus service between Clay County and the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center at LaVilla (JRTC),
4) In-Kind Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance and JTA Services, and Vehicle Purchases,
5) Use of JTA Vehicles and Bus Operators during an Emergency.
Funding has increased from FY22/23 ($881,869.00) due to changes throughout the lines of service and increases to the Disadvantaged Transportation to include the Aging True Adult Day Care bus services.
