A) Approval of Acceptance of the 2023 National Fitness Campaign Grant for an Outdoor Fitness Court® in Clay County at Moody Avenue Park and Adoption of Resolution of the Board’s Support and Approval.

B) Authorization of Sole Source Purchase from National Fitness Campaign LP in the amount of $160,000.00.

This is in relation to the 2023 Healthy Cities Campaign and acceptance of the National Fitness Grant for an Outdoor Fitness Court at Moody Avenue Park. On June 27, 2023, the Board approved the request for the County Manager to execute the Grant Program Requirements and the Letter of Support acknowledging the County's intent to accept the Grant award pending fiscal year 23/24 budget approval along with approving the Grants Division request to seek supplemental funding from community sponsor(s) to offset the County’s local match. Sponsorships will be submitted for review and approval by the County Manager or the Board in accordance with the County’s Donation and Sponsorship Policy.  

The Concrete slab will be bid out, the fitness court, install and graphics will be purchased through The Fitness Court and National Campaign Services with their approved install and artwork network providers.
