SUBJECT: Approval to Post Notice of Intent to award Bid No. 23/24-062, Installation of Irrigation Components and Sod at Neptune Sports Complex to GRSC, Inc. in the amount of $77,401.49. Approval will be effective after the 72-hour protest period has expired. Final completion shall be obtained by September 30, 2024.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The County requested Bids from qualified Florida Licensed Contractors as required to install new irrigation components and sod for new multi-purpose field at Neptune Sports Complex, 2070 Thunderbolt Road, Fleming Island. 

Gulfstream Contracting Group, LLC. failed to provide a 5% Bid Bond as required in the bid and as such the Bid is to be rejected and declared No-Bid per the Purchasing Policy.  Gulfstream Contracting Group's bid price was substantially higher.
