Approval to post Notice of Intent to Award Bid No. 23/24-074, Various Equipment and Amenities for Parks and Recreation to the twenty-three (23) companies that responded to the Bid. Bids provide for a percentage discount off manufacturer’s and/or supplier's current product price lists, and discounted installation of playground equipment and amenities.  The Bid is also a means for qualifying suppliers and establishing pricing for ballpark lighting services and court surfacing. Suppliers, discounts, and pricing details are provided on the attached spreadsheet. The bids will be utilized as needed.  Approval of award will be effective after the 72-hour protest period has expired.

The Bid offers discounted pricing from the listed Suppliers for various equipment and amenities, field lighting, and court surfacing. Other entities wishing to utilize these agreements may piggyback. As the lead agency for this Bid, the agreements will require Suppliers to submit quarterly sales reports and pay a 1.5% administrative fee to the County on eligible revenues for any contracts or purchase orders they receive or agree to enter into with other entities. This is a bid that has been in place for many years and is frequently piggybacked by other Agencies.  Supplier contracts will begin on the effective date for a period of three (3) years with the option to renew the agreements for two (2) additional one-year periods.
