SUBJECT:

A) Approval of Grant Agreement from State of Florida Department of Financial Services, through its Division of State Fire Marshal (Agreement # FM912) through the General Appropriations Act to construct Fire Station 20.  Grant is a cost reimbursement in an amount not to exceed $750,000.00.   

B) Approval of the accompanying budget resolution.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Funding is in accordance with the General Appropriations Act for the 2023/2024 State fiscal year and must be used for construction of the 18,847 sq. ft. Fire Station located at 1305 Idlewood Avenue in Green Cove Springs. The performance period began on July 1, 2023 (beginning of State FY23/24).   The County will have five (5) years from the date the County is fully reimbursed ($750,000.00) by the State to complete the construction, provide a copy of the Certificate of Occupancy, and provide photos of the completed project to the State.
