Approval to reject Bid received from Thomas May Construction Company for Bid No. 23/24-094, Bathroom Countertop Replacements Administration Building. The one (1) Bid received is over budget. Staff will immediately re-evaluate and re-advertise the Bid in an attempt to receive more competitive Bid submittals.

The County requested Bids from qualified Contractors for the removal and replacement of twenty-two (22) bathroom countertops and backsplashes at the Clay County Administration Building. Six contractors attended the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting but only one bid was received.  A few contractors stated that they project was too small.  The others have not responded as to why they did not bid.  Staff will attempt to identify additional qualified bidders in an effort to receive a bid within budget.
