| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND INFORMATION: | Parcel No. 38-06-26-017881-000-00 is a .121-acre lot owned by the County and located along Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and the corner of Mill St and Walburg St in Green Cove Springs. The adjacent property owner sought acquisition of the property. The Property Appraiser has listed the assessed value at $2,268.00 and the adjacent property owner has agreed to a purchase price of $3,000 and payment of all closing costs. Florida Statutes Sec. 125.35 (2) provides that when the Board finds that the value of a parcel of real property is $15,000 or less as determined by the County Property Appraiser and when due to the size, shape, location, and value of the parcel, it is determined by the Board that the parcel is of use only to one or more adjacent property owners, the Board may effect a private sale of the parcel, without receiving bids or publishing notice. |
