| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND INFORMATION: | | This agreement was previously approved by the board on April 22, 2025, however, was never fully executed by other parties. This is regarding the Fiscal Year 2023 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Grant in the amount of $1,425,000.00 awarded to the City of Jacksonville/Duval County Emergency Preparedness Division for the purpose of providing funding to enhance regional preparedness and capabilities in designated high-threat, high-density areas against acts of terrorism. Clay County has requested to utilize the allocated funds for (1) a regional two-day joint and collective full-scale exercise at the Clay County Fairgrounds and Emergency Operations Center ($110,000.00) and (2) video surveillance cameras for Clay County Fairgrounds, plus related storage and equipment ($83,667.00). The City of Jacksonville will oversee and manage all procurement processes related to the UASI award. All project requests will be submitted to the Florida Department of Emergency Management by the City of Jacksonville. |
