SUBJECT: Approval for the application submittal, and if awarded, the acceptance of the Emergency Medical Services County Grant Award from the Florida Department of Health, for the grant amount of $19,797.00. Additional approval of the accompanying Resolution and sole source purchase (from Stryker Sales Corporation) of one LifePack 15 monitor in the amount of $33,512.59 is requested. BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

This is a non-competitive grant whereby 401.113(2)(a) Florida Statutes requires the state to return to each county 45% of its own yearly deposits into the state EMS Trust Fund. These funds will be used for a partial payment of a LifePack 15 cardiac monitor and two CPR evaluation systems.

 

Regarding the one Sole Source LifePack 15 monitor purchase:

$20,344 remains from the previous grant and when added to the $13,997 allocated from this grant avails $34,341.00.
