| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND INFORMATION: | | Motorola Solutions submitted an option to the bid to install new shelters at all locations, with the exception of the Fairgrounds site that was already replaced, extending the cost of services, equipment, installation and removal of old shelters totaling $1,547,029.00. Staff will negotiate both the time-line and the additional cost of the shelters. During pre-bid inspection it was further realized the failing shelters' need for replacement and their replacement is prudent while the bid work is being completed to lessen the cost of replacing them in the future and that they have exceeded their usable life. Bid was sent to fifteen companies with only one bid received. Base bid for original work, not including replacement of shelters is $1,020,000.00 |
