Approval to accept staff's evaluation for RFP No. 21/22-68, Playground Equipment (ARPA Project) and award to Playcore Wisconsin dba GameTime in the amount of $262,771.97 for new equipment at W.E. Varnes Park and Island Forest Park.

3. Bliss Products and Services, Inc. - Rejected and deemed a "No-Bid" 

 

A committee consisting of Director of Parks and Recreation, Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, and Facilities Program Manager performed the evaluation. 

Approval will be effective after the 72 hour period for protest has expired.

Approval of award will be effective after the 72 hour protest period has expired.

B.) Additional approval of the accompanying agreement with Eternity Funeral Home and Crematory of Jacksonville, LLC.

Approval of advance payment for the purchase of four (4) new Braun rescue units from Ten-8 utilizing Savvik Contract 2020-04 pricing. These units are being purchased with ARPA funds. Ten-8 will provide a pre-payment discount and a multi-unit discount.  A performance and payment bond will be required from Ten-8 prior to advance payment.

Approval of the Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification between executed by the Clay County Sheriff's Office and the Clay County Board of County Commissioners, for the fiscal year ending 9/30/2022.

Approval of the Third Amendment to Grant Agreement No. 2019/2020-200 with The Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO No. HL121) regarding the Clay County Youth Sports Complex amending the current expiration date from 12/31/2022 until 12/31/2023.

A) Approve acceptance of the Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program FY 2022 Local Solicitation with U.S. Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs Bureau of Justice Assistance, Award #15PBJA-22-GG-02397-JAGX, in the amount of $43,914.00;

 

B) Authorize the Chairman to accept the award electronically through the Justice Grants System (JustGrants) including the required declaration and certification;

 

C) Approval of the accompanying budget resolution.

VIDEO11.Budget Resolutions to Establish FY22/23 Grant Budgets (M. Mosley/R. Kantor)

Approval of the following budget resolutions establishing FY22/23 grant budgets:

 

1.) Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Office of Criminal Justice Grant for the Clay County Jail Expansion Project in the amount of $1,000,000.

 

2.) U.S. Department of Homeland Security Public Safety Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) in the total amount of $192,000 to purchase/replace 24 mobile radio devices for the Public Safety Department. The grant award is in the amount of $174,545, with a 10% match requirement in the amount of $17,455 from Reserve - Contingency.

 

3.) Bureau of Justice Assistance, FY20 State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) in the amount of $21,649 to be used to assist with the cost of housing illegal criminal aliens in the Clay County Jail.
