The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Program provides annual grants on a formula basis to entitled cities and counties to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low-and moderate-income persons.  The County has received FY2021/2022 CDBG Entitlement Program funds, in which $300,000 has been allocated for Public Infrastructure Road Projects. 

Staff wishes to review options related to the award of Bid No. 21/22-52, CDBG - Cattail Dirt Road Paving and Bid No. 21/22-51, CDBG - Louie Carter Resurfacing.  The attached documentation provides further details and options for award. 

1) Approval of Supplemental Agreement No. 3 with Florida Department of Transportation related to the Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement for CR 209 Safety Improvements Project.  This Supplemental allows for a time extension which is necessary to finalize end of contract negotiations and closeout documents. This amendment will extend the end date from June 30, 2022 to December 31, 2022.  Additional approval of Authorizing Resolution is requested. 

2) Approval of Supplemental Agreement No. 4 with Florida Department of Transportation related to the LAP Agreement for CR 209 Safety Improvements Project.  This Supplemental allows additional funding in the amount of $4,607.70.  These additional funds are necessary to pay the Contractor for additional material needed to complete the project. Additional approval of Authorizing Resolution is requested along with approval of accompanying Budget Resolution.
