The Finance Department business is submitted to request approval and ratification by the Board for various warrants and disbursements in order to meet the requirements of Ch. 136.06 (1), Fl Statute. Acceptance and disposal of various Board property and various documents are submitted for the Board's information. At times, approval is requested for various finance related issues.

7.Standing Committee's Recommendation of Approval of AmeriPro EMS of Florida, LLC's Application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for Ambulance Service
The Clay County Department of Public Safety received an application from AmeriPro EMS of Florida, LLC, for a Class B, C and D Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN). The application was presented to the designated Standing Committee who heard the application and determined to recommend approval.
8.Approval of Interlocal Agreement Regarding Veterans' Suicide Prevention: Northeast Florida Fire Watch Council, along with Appointment of Clay County Member and Designation of County Commissioner Liaison

This matter was previously discussed at the Board meeting of October 8, 2019. Clay County has been asked to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with Duval, Baker, Nassau and St. Johns counties to create a government consortium board to collaborate regarding the prevention of suicide among military veterans living in Northeast Florida. Upon approval of the Interlocal Agreement, the Board is requested to appoint a member to the Council and to designate a County Commissioner Liaison.

11.Discussion concerning Solite Property in Lake Asbury Master Plan
The Planning Commission requested that staff present recommendations concerning the Solite property.  The Planning Commission recommends that the Lake Asbury Master Plan and the Land Development Regulations be amended as shown in the staff memo.

Approval to accept staff's ranking of RFQ #18/19-40, Financial Advisory Services. If desired, the Board may request presentations or direct staff to proceed with contract negotiations with the number one ranked firm, PFM Financial Advisors.

18.Golf Tournament Sponsorship
The TDC is recommending, by a unanimous vote, 3 sponsorships for upcoming collegiate women’s golf tournaments. 
19.TDC Event Marketing Grant Application - Krawlin' for the Fallen

Krawlin' for the Fallen will take place at THE FIRM at Keystone Heights Airport November 8-10, 2019. This event features obstacles for hundreds of Jeep enthusiasts to conquer. Proceeds from this event support the families of fallen law enforcement officers.

 

TDC recommends the Event Marketing Grant Award of $2,500.
