The North Florida TPO’s Citizen Advisory Committee is established to provide citizen comments and views on the metropolitan planning process and to serve in an advisory capacity to the North Florida’s TPO on matters related to transportation planning. Clay County’s membership on the CAC is comprised of three at-large members and one representative from the Town of Orange Park.
The CAC meets 10 times a year: the first Wednesday monthly except January and July at 2 p.m. at the TPO’s offices, 980 N. Jefferson Street, Jacksonville. Complimentary parking is available. Meetings are from 60-90 minutes. Members are provided with an agenda book a week ahead outlining activities, projects, initiatives to be discussed. Because the CAC members have no alternates, an attendance policy is in place that if a member misses three meetings in a row he or she is given a reminder, because perhaps the schedule has changed making it difficult to attend meetings. There are no excused absences.
